I put new tubless tape. Doesn’t leak from anywhere else except the section where the rim connects to itself. What am I doing wrong?

If it’s leaking from that section, it’s most likely a tape issue
If your tape is done well air will never touch the rim, so the rim can’t leak. If there’s air escaping through the rim it’s getting past the tape somewhere, either at the valve hole or at a flaw in the tape.
