I am looking to get my next DH Bike and was looking to spend around 6K for my new bike. I wanted thr YT Tuesday but they have been back ordered till June.
Which one is the better choice here considering price + specs?
Any feedback would be appreciated. I am leaning more towards the boxer for tech stiffness/stability and most importantly the PRICE!
Commencal DH V5: Rockshox Edition $5900 or $6500 after Taxes and shipping.
Commencal DH V5: Ohlins Edition $6500 or 7100 after Taxes and shipping. Too expensive man!

The rockshox build will be cheaper to service in the long run. There won’t be a huge difference in suspension performance from ohlins to RS and a lot of places don’t have parts to service ohlins. Both bikes are great either way though!
There is no “better”… but if the second one is “too expensive man!”, then you already made your decision.
The Ohlins will require servicing more frequently, and may require custom tuning depending on your riding style.
I enquired about Ohlins for my trail bike and this is what I was advised.
In my opinion, the rockshox setup is the way to go and that boxxer is sexy af with the red lowers.
Going purely based on looks. The white one looks better 😂
I’m done with Öhlins. Wanted to treat myself some time ago but only had problems (with air shock and fork). Never again. Rockshoxs has way better availability and price for service parts and tools.
Neither, avoid Commencal at all costs. They have terrible quality control and customer service, and just reduced their warranty from 5 years to 2 years. They have picked up nicknames like Creakencal for a reason. And between those two, the Ohlins suspension is slightly better, but the build comes with eThirteen wheels, while the Rockshox one has DT Swiss. I would save the money and go Rockshox, becase it has much better wheels and only slightly worse suspension (that is more than good enough for even the best of the best, and is cheaper to maintain and keep operational).
