Hi guys. I've just bought a second hand Cannondale Synapse 4 rim brake, 2016. Great bike, but I want to swap out the tyres which are 23s, to something bigger.
I tried putting a front wheel from another bike, which has 28 tyres, and it didn't fit.
Based on the clearance, would 25s fit? Thanks

Maybe! Unfortunately sometimes you just have to try it. Could depend on brand too
That era was optimized for 23-25mm …occasionally some 28’s would barely ( uncomfortably) fit … more a reflection of some brands running undersized.
The caliper defines your tire clearance. You definitely need some breathing space around the caliper, frame, & fork crown
Ya, do the 25’s.
