These are not bikes built to last. They are built to look good on film. A single downtube? The bike will flex like crazy and crack before long. And the fit is designed for movies: bolt upright so you can see their faces. Not good for actual bike riding.
There are plenty of good step throughs. These aren’t them.
There are bikes built for people too old/unable to lift their legs at all. Maybe in Japan.
