  1. No biggie. You can use a kitcheb steel brush and a greasy rug on those if it bothers you ir just ignore it.

    I would be more worried about seized screws and how forgone the chain will be and how clogged your cables are with lime and sediment considering you obviously store your bike outside at all times.

    Bikes have a much longer service span when stored in proper climate. Especially if they use entry level Components like yours which have less stainless steel or nickel plating but just plain steel and zinc.

  2. A bath in ultrasound. But I may be watching too much watches and bike restauration videos. For us plebs, I don’t really know besides trying to dismantle and scrub.
