It’d probably be as fast or faster than what many companies try to sell as gravel bikes.

Why that fork?

Great look rig, the Lauf fork is a sweet touch! It’s definitely a competent gravel whip!

It’s clearly a Mountain Bike that shreds on gravel 🤟

Throw on some Redshift Quick-Release Aero bars and a Tailfin or Aeroe cargo system… And that’s a badass Tour Divide setup.
The mud clearance alone would provide some nice advantages.

Those lauf forks still puzzle me with how weird they are, but man they look cool. I’m wondering how good they’d be on light single track, some maniacs take gravel bikes on small jump lines even, i’d imagine the fork would snap on jumps.

I ride a gravel road occasionally on my 2015 Long Haul Trucker. 100% a gravel bike 😂

34 tooth chainring with gigantic tires, if anybody is wondering, it is similar to 2.4in tires with a 36in chainring in terms of gearing.

24.7lbs so far! Still trying to find some ways to bring it even lower.

FYI, I’m surprised this elicited such a response, I didn’t even think it was that great of a picture, I got 20 seconds to take it, as it was 38° f in Wisconsin, and I was being approached by a woman walking her dogs (occluded by the bike) and was wearing only a CX onesie (do they think CX people or triathletes? Where’s the chamois?) I felt quite self-conscious and got on my way with only one quick shot …

They need a sliding dropout.
