This might be a dumb question, but does it actually reflect anything? May wanna get some of the red reflector tape from the hardware store and apply over the red bits. Then it’s also doing the job it’s pretending to do!

Be advised that thieves (at least the more organised kind) swap out parts to avoid detection.

It may be less obvious if you printed a small piece that sandwhiches between the water bottle cage and frame that holds the tag

Organized bicycle thieves keep the bikes surrounded by simple Faraday cages (you can build one using things like chicken wire or aluminum foil) so I doubt you’ll be able to track anything, unless you happen to catch it while it’s being moved by the original small time thief before it’s handed over.
