Hello guys,

I am new to this subreddit, but I am not new to Canyon bikes. I have heard and read a lot of good things about them.

I ride an XC 1×11 as the only bike, which is not super convenient.

Now I am looking for a replacement. I cannot decide whether I should go for a gravel: Grizl 6, or a road endurance: Endurace 7 RAW.

90% of the time I ride on bike paths and /or road. On the other hand, it's always good to have a space for wider tires just in case.

I saw that it's possible to use up to 36mm in Endurace and 50mm in Grizl 6.

My main issue is that my friends, who I rarely see though, bought gravels and if we decide to go on a bike trip together, I will be limited by tires If I decide to go for Endurace.

On the other hand, I believe there is no point in buying a gravel bike, if I mostly ride on the road and bike paths.

Value-wise, which bike do you think is a better value for money? Each of them cost the same (around 1770 USD).

If we forget about where and how the bike will be used, looking only at the parts value, which group set would be more expensive?

Thanks for your feedback.

Canyon’s endurance bike is called the **Endurace**.

For your riding a gravel bike is just a more relaxed road bike that is harder to get flats.

If I were you I would go gravel. You can put road wheels and tires on it if you want to.

  3. I have 40mm front and 35mm rear gravel tires on my Endurace. Enough for (light) gravel imo.
