Hey All – Have this beautiful 70s Alan roadbike, with some seemingly high end components. It seems to measure a 54CM frame, which unfortunately is a bit large for me, so I’m looking to part with it. Looking for some tips on where might be best to list for sale along with pricing. I could be open to parting out too. Not looking to make a fortune here, and would want to move it quickly but I also don’t want to give it away. Thanks folks!

  1. Those Ofmega cranks and Colnago-branded Modolo brakes!

Somebody cheated you on those wheels though… Maillard hubs instead of likely the Campys that it came with. Still a sweet bike.

  2. Those Alan frames were so different compared to other bikes on the road. Not many aluminum bikes on the road until Cannondale took off later in the 80’s. Your bike is alloy with threaded steel lugs which is why they are so thick. It’s early/mid eighties.

  3. The Modolo Colnago pantographed brake calipers and levers would definitely garner some interest on eBay.
