Tried it, just for fun. Discovered two things. First, the basket bag is only good for a few items. I got two 2 L sodas, some bananas and some salad. Only a little room for more. Second, the bike is indeed tippy in cart mode. With the heavy items on the right, the bike was barely stable without holding the handlebars. I won’t do this again, until an EZ wheel extender is available for the G-Line. It does steer nicely, though.
Surprisingly, I didn’t get stared at, considering I’ve never seen a Brompton of any size around here, before. Actually, the only Brompton I’ve ever seen before was in Seattle. A guy had just gotten off of the train with it. Strangely, he was carrying it, not riding it.
The bag was from AliExpress. Similar to the old Brompton basket bag. I modified the handle straps, and glued magnets on to hold it closed when not full.
Note: I’m still getting used to unfolding this thing. I spent about 30 seconds in front of the store, trying to unhook the front wheel. Then I did a “Doh!” and raised the seatpost.
