It’s the much-awaited final of the Carabao Cup as Liverpool and Newcastle United head to Wembley to decide who will lift this season’s first trophy.
Both teams have had to fend off some stiff competition to make it here and neither would want to lose.
Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak are the two different makers for their respective teams and will be looking to get on the scoreboard in the final. Those two, however, are not the only ones who can light up an occasion like this with plenty of quality sprinkled on both the teams.
Arne Slot and Eddie Howe have not won a trophy in England and will be looking to break their ducks in the final today.
Newcastle United haven’t won a domestic trophy in England for close to 70 years and they will be especially desperate to break that cycle and lift the Carabao Cup.
Liverpool have the quality, but The Magpies are not that far behind, the Reds will definitely start as favourites, but Newcastle will not be a major underdog.
It will be an intriguing final, let’s see who comes out on top. As a Newcastle fan though I am hoping it’s the team playing in black and white.
