According to bicyclebluebook.com this is the MSRP. If I’m buying a 3 year old bike, I’d expect it to be discounted.
The shop is in a bad spot. They probably paid top dollar for the bike. Unfortunately the current [Defy Advanced 2](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/defy-advanced-2-2025) is equivalent or slightly better for cheaper.
The bike companies have priced the Di2 upgrade as about a +1k. There are people who consider it a necessity. Maintenance and replacement parts will be more expensive. From experience going out for a ride without a charge sucks.
I got a 2024 defy advanced 1 di2 in October for $3400 cad. I’d say that’s overpriced.
