I’m doing a 109km ride each way 218km round trip and was wanting some tips on packing/strapping. In the photo sleeping bag is buckled to bars and cinched down so it doesn’t move tent is strapped to rear rack. I’m also going to strap chair. The rest of my gear hoping to fit in 24L backpack includes change of clothing 1.5L bladder and some tools and snacks. My concern is with sleeping bag strapped like that I’m gonna ruin the stuff sack or bag. Not concerned about rain as it’s only 1 night.

My question is why do you attach a rear rack to the stem, when the bike is designed with the proper frame mounts at the sides.
