My favourite cycling helmet has the head strap snapped. I stupidly tied it to my backpack while I did a long a walk and the constant bouncing on my back snapped the plastic.
Is there a good way to repair what is otherwise a perfect helmet. Don't think any shop will sell exact replacement strap.
Only option I'll try later is super glue.
Or am I being silly and this is a risk not worth taking in case of a fall. The helmet shell and strap is otherwise fine. Just snapped on side plastic.

TBH if it snapped from that I wouldn’t trust it being on my head.
You only get one brain, concussion suck and they’re not the worst thing that could happen.
Helmets are something I don’t mind replacing sooner rather than later and this one is dead.
get a new helmet if u want , but looks fine , maybe some superglue or a little love with a plastic welder or, even glue a helmet pad there if you want to save it . though it sounds like you just want to get a new helmet, which is fine to .
If there is absolitely nothing structurally wrong with the helmet, it’s not too old and where the plastic broke is a flat or relatively flat single-piece with a clean snap (no cracks or missing pieces) – JB plasticweld putty.
