On Wednesday I was able to take out my new bike on its first long ride. The components if it matters is a grx 822 with a 10-51 off the back. Around 30 miles or so in I started to notice the chain skipping in the 3rd or 4th gear. At mile 40 I tightened the barrel adjuster. For about 5-10 miles it was fine, but then started to have issues again. So I had to readjust it. Again went 5 miles without an issue and then it came back once again adjusted it. From here I was able to get to about 20 miles without an issue then it came back. At mile 30 I adjusted it again and took off the clutch. For the rest of the ride which was 40 miles I had no issues. Last night i took the bike out again with the clutch off and maybe once or twice it skipped in the same spot in 25 miles. Also I noticed when backpedaling it is not smooth. I noticed from back pedaling the chain like sticks to the chainring. Not sure if this is one of the issues with the chain skipping on the cassette. When all this is happening there is load being applied not a huge amount be enough, except for the back peeling. Any idea on why it’s doing this?

Have you tried lube?
This drivetrain is drier than a grandpa nutsack: wash this bike thoroughly, let it dry, use some lubricant on the drivetrain and it won’t do that anymore.
