The main bolt just keeps spinning, there is this weird star looking nut on the front (second picture) and im trying to get it moving but im assuming it’s just for adjustment.

If it keeps on spinning, how does it create any pressure? What I mean is, can’t you just pull the seat off?
If you’ve already completely removed the rear bolt, you should be able to loosen the front one with the star and push the top plate to one side. I have the same seatpost post and the star bolt is just for adjusting the seat angle
