I know it takes a couple rides for the grease to settle in the bearings. Just wondering if this much resistance is normal?
Just got this bike. The I9 hubs were apparently serviced before sale. Is this amount of resistance normal?

They should spin better than that. Something doesn’t sound right but it’s hard to tell on video. I would pull the cassette and check the pawls and drive ring, make sure everything is assembled correctly and not damaged. Also, are your brakes centered and is your axle torqued correctly?
nope
Definitely not, try to service it yourself, tools don’t cost that much and you will learn more about your bike.
No but even if you do not hear it could be brake rub or some other mystery problem. Check everything out or take it to someone who can
Hydras are pretty drag heavy hubs but that is a bit more than usual
Check to make sure the brake pads aren’t rubbing.
Turns out they were slobbered with way too much grease
Pull the rear hub apart and see if it has this axle. i9 updated it to reduce the tendency to mushroom out and cause dragging issues. This is the new one.

no something is wrong.
Is the wheel and cassette torqued down? Pop your cassette off and make sure all the pawls and springs are in place and oriented correctly. Pop it back on and check again
My money is on that they packed that sucker with a lot of grease or used the wrong weight/type.
