Final TT into Besançon of the 2004 Tour de France where Lance Armstrong dominated that years race and the narrative, eventually the truth of what lay behind this Race of Truth performances and others would be revealed.
Looking back these trips to the Tour were great experiences and I loved seeing these ‘super human’ performances, I always said none of this can been done on water and pasta!
It was a shame but I’m almost certain todays riders in 2025 have their own secrets we haven’t found out about yet, especially as they’re making these riders look ordinary!
Great to see the early 2000s bikes and some of the vehicles back then.
