Remove brakes, buy some Thomson seatpost and stem, Chris King headset, cinelli lola bars, ellipse wheels, Gator tires, omnium crank and Izumi chain, MKS pedals and some fancy straps to be “original” before you even start riding it!
Seriously – just enjoy your bike and have fun.
Start with some spd pedals. Everything else just ride it till it wears out then upgrade that way. If you are going to upgrade everything straight you should have just bought everything and built it up. It’s a waste of money to buy a complete bike then upgrade everything.
Fenders, maybe? It’s great to be able to ride in the wet without getting sprayed by your own wheels.
Everything that you touch when riding—handlebars, saddle, pedal setup. Just make sure it’s comfortable enough that you want to keep riding it
A brake cable and housing or just remove them all together lol
