First shout out to u/sharkystarky for inspo, I saw his stuff posted on here and thought it was awesome.
Started out life as a green ’91 trek 800, sandblasted the frame and did the paint job/decals. Has an unknown Raleigh fork, it was a bit more beefy and thread-less.
Wheels are mavics off a specialized with maxxis ikon 26×2.35, look at the clearance pic, they barely fit lol.
Cockpit is sendy riser bars, ali express levers, bargain bin trek grips, swap meet stem with adapter to 1″ headset. Drivetrain is ali cues.
Awesome guy at my LBS got all the bits dialed in perfect and it’s a really fun ride, like a fat tire hybrid off-road bmx monstrosity.

Those are some baloons! I dig! Also, hats of for your frame painting skills. Not my taste / style, but period correct, and looks factory.

This looks ridiculously bad-ass and I’ll bet it rides like a monster.
Appreciate the attention to detail and great mix of old and new. Particularly like what you did with the cockpit.
Well done, my Lord.

I went a bit of a different route with my 820 trek but it’s my most beloved bike ever even if it’s not the most incredible frame you’ll find on here.
