Hello canyon people. I recently purchased a Canyon Grizl CF SL 8 1BY and I’m not pretty sure about the sizing. It’s an XS who ch is what was recommended by the canyon algorithm and staff when I talked to them on the chat, however I cannot get over how small the bike looks( might be the 27.5” wheels). I am 171.5 cm tall and 79.5-80 cm inseam.
I’m sure this kind of questions come up on the forum all the time but any advice would be very welcome.

ps. I’m sending a couple of pictures if anybody with more experience than me could give me their opinion on setting, etc. Also I have inverted the stem.

Thanks a lot !

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

  2. I’m an S on an ultimate.

Had this exact problem a year ago, cause I initially got an XS

  3. That’s definitely small, I would go up to Size S or M, seems like you have long legs.

  4. By their chart, you’re on the cusp of xs and s.

I just always like to think, “am I an extra small person or a small person”… compared to other people you may be small, but I wouldn’t consider you extra small. 🤷‍♂️

Hard to say without better fit pictures. But a small might suit you better though you could probably make this work.

  5. Size looks good if you want a very agressive position. But you’ll need a way longer stem IMO

I had the same issue and am on the edge between sizes (I’m not tall but have a very long inseam). I ultimately got an XS. I love my grizl but always wonder if I should have gone for the S, which has the 700 wheels. I have the same slight worry I look too big for my bike, lol.

When I did research on bike fit in general, I read that it’s easier to adjust a slightly smaller bike to fit better vs making too large a frame work.

For what it’s worth, I haven’t had any pain or fit issues with my XS Grizl and it’s now been a couple of thousand miles on it.
