Just unpacked this front wheel and noticed this damage/defect. Packaging was flawless. I can feel a slight bulge toward the inside when I run my fingers over it. Request an exchange or no? I can live with it cosmetically.
Forgot to add, I’ll be running tubeless Schwalbe G-one RS Pros

If you just paid for that you should request a new one for sure. Its probably fine structurally but the wheel is what is between you and the ground, and zipps are expensive you should get a perfect one.

Definitely RMA.

I wouldn’t accept that. That looks like someone dropped it on a a concrete floor from a pretty significant height.
If this were my wheel and that happened on a pot hole, I’d keep riding, but if new? Heck no.

Poor quality workmanship. Looks like it’s been dropped or knocked, no? Definitely return / replace

I would request a replacement. If I’m paying for a new Zipp, then I’m expecting it to be ‘perfect.’
If I’m paying at a discount and am aware, then I might take a chance with that.

Zipp has a robust warranty policy. I’d definitely be asking for a replacement. I’m curious though – you mention packaging. Who shipped them? Zipp/SRAM doesn’t sell directly to consumers do they?

Exchange it. They have plenty.

Drop damage. It’s now or never re: replacement, the second you ride on them the chance is gone.
