    you can try goof off or acetone, and scrubbing — careful with acetone, because it etches some plastics and is tough on your skin

    You could clean the bars. Maybe with a cleaning fluid. Isopropyl alcohol, dish soap, etc.

  3. Soaking it in WD-40 works pretty good too, then you can get a plastic razorblade and scrape it off

  4. Goo Gone then retape with a quality bar tape such as Enve or Arundel Gecko which doesn’t leave a residue and can be reused/repositioned.

  5. Goo Gone in a spray bottle. Let it soak for a minute and scrape with a plastic tire lever.

    Petrol and then wipe with an old towel.

    Outside in a well ventilated space with no potential sources of ignition I hasten to add..
