I hate messing up my hands on bike crashes so I wear full finger gloves all. the. time, even if it’s down the street to the corner store.Β That palm gouge sucks

Did this exact same thing last summer except the chain just ripped a hole in my pants and I lost balance for a second.

Almost happened to me last week, I didnβt roll the cuff just enough but luckily didnβt throw me over.
Guess itβs time to buy a bib π€·π»ββοΈ

Remember to give a little yelp, shout, squeal, or warcry when you wreck. This will make it more entertaining for any bystanders, and it will help you not hold your breath and give yourself a pneumothorax / collapsed lung.

On my second day with a fixie my shoelace got stuck on the pedal. It was not fun

Lucky you at the end!
Once i had my shoe strings open up during fast ride and they luckily were so long that i could slow down before they reached their ends wrapped around my crank arm!
Oh and on another occasion i used my dads old bike and wanted to pull the bike up to jump above a hole in the tarmac just to fly with the handle bar in my hands but the bike doing its own thing below me – right next to a car, super lucky! π

Besides being incredibly stylish, cutoff jorts are also highly functional.

Fuck! That must have hurt! I recall going down on a rainy day as I crossed train tracks. Slipped and went down hard asf! I didn’t have gloves and destroyed my hands with pebbles stuck in them. Had to do a thorough scrubbing to get rid of all the dirt in my open wounds. Lessons learned? Wear good cycling gloves! π«΅βοΈ
