Pogacar would never have lost the advantage like Vingegaard did here.

Ouch! Vingegaard was surprised he couldn't ride away. Then he probably didn't think he'd get caught. Showing signs of weakness is bad because it encourages others to attack him.
It's still march I know but how is anyone gonna beat UAE at the tour when Tadej's 3rd best domestique is able to beat Vingegard on a mountain top finish while also pulling the others with him?

Remember Pogacar smashed Jonas in this race 2 years ago only for Jonas to return the favour at the tdf. I still think the tdf will be competitive

Excelente por Almeida pero Jonas está en preparación del tour y ese no es su máximo nivel, aún así Almeida hoy por hoy está dentro de los 5 mejores de todo el pelotón en cuanto a carreras por etapas

Clearly Vingegaard was in trouble with the amount of looking over his shoulder he was doing.
Since everyone is bashing Vingegard, here is an observation as someone who watched the whole race not just these last few kilometers.
He did not attack Mateo, he just followed a move and they got separation, the group behind wasn't collaborating well to close the gap and Mateo surely wasn't gonna pace them when he had a teammate in front. When they took the last man in the breakaway, he went for it but lacked the legs today. You can't really blame him, after all he was only five seconds down on Mateo, not thirty.

LOVE IT! I always hate when professionals dick around and stare at each other, instead of going after the attacker. Almeida showing his quality. Vingegaard not all that.
Sad for Jorgenson – he should be the lead rider in this race for Visma.
This looks like a clean jonas to me, I honestly think that last year after his horrific crash that he was juiced up! No one can recover from those injuries he suffered and come back like he did, even taking a win over pogacar on one of the stages & pogacar was absolutely flying last year.
