I tried to buy ibuprofen in crappy Italy once and they basically wouldn’t sell it to me. Or they gave me 12 tablets for like 20 euro.

    In order of importance:

Imodium (loperamide), caffeine, marijuana are my dailies even not on the bike/trail. Marijuana consumption goes way up when I’m on a trip.

Took a bottle of whiskey with me. Barely used it. Next time I’m skipping it. Grams is grams.

Aspirin for shooting pains going up my left arm.
Tylenol & Advil for the combo effects.
Sailor Jerry is delicious at any temp. Does Tiger Balm count?
Zeasorb or Gold Bond to make it not swampy down there.

My last Colorado Trail Race I ate mushrooms on the final day, and while tripping decided to propose to my girlfriend the next day, and we were married 30 days later.

Be careful with drugs while bikepacking.

Only if you count the painkillers in my emergency kit

Riding the bike is my vice, don’t need to waste pannier space on weaker imitations

  8. Yeah. I do it backpacking.

I have drugs to stop shitting if you can’t.

I have drugs to start shitting if you can’t.

Pain and inflammation, acetaminophen first, and ibuprofen addition if it’s really bad I save that as it’d not good for you on the regular. Melatonin, multi vitamins, throat losanges. Cafine pills, baby aspirin, Benadryl in case of unexpected allergic reactions. Tums, Gravol for upset stomach. It’s a part of my hygiene kit.

Good try, narc. You’ll never know about the drugs in my handlebar bag with the coffee kit.

  10. The emergency ones: imodium (diarrhea) and paracetamol (aka tylenol).

Non-emergency: weed (vaporized), and sometimes LSD or mushrooms microdoses (true microdoses: almost no sensible effects), it helps with mood, concentration and inflammation.

During training/everyday, I sometimes take ashwagandha. which really helps with force training and recuperation/recovery. Not too often, because it doesn’t work if too frequent.

I’ve found some CBD focused edibles to be helpful for sleeping. I have never tried psychedelics while bikepacking. I think it could be fun but I’d want to be careful with it. Also sometimes mushrooms can make me feel very physically tired.

Well, yeah. Drugs are light. And in the American Midwest, there’s a small town saloon every ten miles, so there’s usually no reason to weigh yourself down with more than a few beers.
