      Rad paint job and a reasonably rare/not well known brand. As long has it’s not heavy AF, get it. man. Decals and paint 🤌 id build it.

      That frame is very cool looking. It would a neat project to swap on a bunch of nice parts.

      Puch is an Old Brand that used to make Mopeds. I believe its austrian or german.
      Paint job is pretty rad but 70 seems a bit much.

      That looks dope. Brand doesn’t matter. People here are just obsessed with a couple “cult” bikes and think anything that isn’t a Hardrock is shit.

      Great platform for upgrading. If it fits you, get it.

      Tbh, if you are not willing to pay that money only for the paint job, it’s not worth it and way overpriced. Also if you are patient you get better base bikes for half the price.

      For example I got a pretty, pink 90s Nakamura for 15 €, nice base for an xbike, sadly I personally having troubles with the feeling of the bike (I met someone else who loves it).

      Or my unicorn (it seems soooo rare) – a Schuh Ski, elevated chain stay, Aluminium frame, 90s MTB, also in pink + green crackling paint – bought for 30 €.

      Or an old vintage Puch, around 70s/80s, bought as restoration project, 13 € (was technically 100% okay).

      And then there are from time to time nice 90s/00s MTB on the local market, sometimes with full Shimano XT, for 50-100 €. For example:

      The first one is known in this sub. The second one has Shimano XT components, hydraulic breaks, aluminium frame – already worth it just for scraping the parts.

      Puch is an Austrian company. They were instrumental in mobilizing post-war Germany and Europe with small cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and mopeds. They made lots of military contract vehicles and even merged with Steyr and Daimler to make some troops carriers.

      As for the United States, they sent us their motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles as well. Sears and J.C. Penny sold “house brand” versions of their products like the Pinto and Allstate mopeds, and the Allstate 250 (which was a Puch Twingle, a wonderfully wacky and creative engine design in which two cylinders shared a combustion chamber).

      They were always better at engineering and manufacturing firm than marketing though, and eventually their company got split up – bikes went to Bianchi, moped building went to Piaggio/Vespa, the Maxi design went to Hero Mopeds, the heavy-duty side stayed Steyr-Daimler-Puch.

      I have owned many Puch products over the years and currently there’s a JCP Pinto along with a handful of Puch Maxi and Magnum mopeds in my garage. A Puch badge is a sure sign of quality to me, it’s actually a motivator for me to buy the thing even if I don’t need it because I will probably fall in love with it, and it’s probably built *very* well.

      That has the raddest, most 90’s most badass paint I’ve ever seen on any Puch, and if you don’t buy it I will.
