Get a longer one, not a shorter (ie cheapest one possible) to keep the seatpost effectively in contact with the frame. Vs “rocking” on hard landings and knocking around.

Unlikely to happen, but did for me.

Not the ideal solution but sometimes a wallet-friendly and workable solution.

They can add an extra layer of annoyance when pratting about installing a dropper post, and if they get dented or otherwise bent, they can scratch stuff up.

LOL I use BOTH exact these adapters for my Vecnum Nivo droppers. the 34,9 in my Alu Liteville 301 and the smaller one in my carbon Last. They work just fine (not any better than othjer adapters 🤷‍♂️).

What I can really recommend is the Vecnum seatpost clamp or any other that uses the two-screw design. They clamp much more even around the seatpost and the dropper. Some droppers can become a bit finicky when clamped, for example a One Up got stuck even when staying under the speced torque with a normal clamp, could tighten much more with the Vecnum design.

I’ve got one on my bike and honestly as long as you get the correct size it’s one of those fit and forget things.

The only times it’s ever caused a problem is when I’ve forgotten to put it back in before changing the cable in my dropper 😂

I wouldn’t get one on the right though, it’s probably ok but i think the one on the left will dissipate any stresses more evenly.
