Picked up my first gravel bike today, in fact the first skinny tyre (relative to my usual), curly bar bike i've ever owned. Coming from trail/enduro MTB this is a whole new world, but I'm already hooked I think. I was after something I could use on both on and off road and pulled the trigger on a new Giant Revolt Advanced 2. Took it for its first ride this evening, just a quick 15k loop around the river and so far I'm loving it, sooo much nicer to pedal than an dual sus trail bike on the pavement 😅. Just threw a set of Funn flat pedals off my DJ bike for now, might look at some SPD's and shoes soon or might just stick with the trusty flats lol.

Congrats! You will enjoy it. These gravel bikes are 75% of the way to the full speed of a road bike without the downsides of a road bike. Way snappier on the road than an MTB for sure.
