might tightened too much

I unfortunately used a possibly defective torque wrench when tightening my screws for the first time and probably tightened them a bit too much. Now I have bought a new torque wrench and tightened the screws again. At this point, with a torque of 5 Nm, the clamp is already pulled together quite a bit. Could this be normal, or do you think I might have damaged something on the front structure? The picture shows 5Nm.
