  1. The chain should be higher off the ground when unfolded so definitely not enough tension when unfolded or folded.

    Look at the chain tensioner. Something looks off. Compare it to an image online

    It definitely should not be floppy. Looking at my 6-speed C-line, there is chain tensioner that picks up the slack when the bike is folded. I would assume same should happen for your bike.

    With the rear wheel folded, the tensioner looks like its reached max, but the chain is still really slack.

    And with the wheel unfolded the tensioner is near vertical, when it ought to be close to horizontal.

    Too long chain maybe ?

    Trust me,Your chain routing is incorrect..look carefully and please google some p-line image for your references how the chain should route through the derailleur..
