  1. Get padded liners, ditch the rags on your saddle. Consider a seat that’s more comfortable after doing some riding with the liners.

  2. Put both hands against a wall and bring one knee to your chest- that’s the kind of motion you want to start your skid.

    When the cranks are horizontal, you’re bringing your front knee up as the pedal stroke goes down. It’s not really pushing back with the back foot, it’s more pulling up with the front foot.

    You also 100% need foot retention, it’s possible to slide without it but it’s just not safe or worth it.

  3. Congrats! Been thinking of buying this and making it my “climbing” bike because of its lightness (and price, really good deal rn)
