So I've been looking for an older affordable road bike, and this keeps catching my eye on FB marketplace. Currently have an all-city space horse that I ride everywhere and anywhere. But it's like 35 lbs with rack, bag, and camera gear. Looking for something light and fast to just go on quick rides into town and whatnot. Anyway, I've read that the carbon tubes on these have a tendency to come unglued from the lugs. Any thoughts or opinions on this. I love the looks of this bike but if it's a safety hazard, I'll just forget about it. They are asking $275, which I'm totally willing to pay as long as its not gonna fall apart under me.

I wouldn’t, personally. As you said, these are sketchy. For that price or cheaper you could very easily find a high-quality steel bike from the same time period, with the same parts, great handling, very reliable, and won’t disintegrate underneath you as you ride weight would be slightly more but negligible.
But anyways, I mostly see bikes with the same lugged carbon construction sitting for around $150. $275 is very high. Considering the frame could break tomorrow, don’t pay any more than you could sell the other parts for.
