Upgrade the derailleurs! [Your Tiagra 4700 levers are compatible with the more modern Shadow rear derailleurs,](https://v.redd.it/k9xoqycn1b8e1) which sticks out to the side less, so lower chances of the rear derailleur getting bashed if the bike falls over. The new toggle-type front derailleurs work better too– That old 4700 long-arm front derailleur design barely trims. Plus the more modern derailleurs shift nicer too than those old 4700 derailleurs that Shimano hasn’t updated in 11 years.
With the new derailleurs you will have a Super Volpe. 🙂
