Hi everyone, having some issues with 105 rear derailleur, I put a new cable in, and a new chain. Shifting up and down from every other gear is seamless and I went through the indexing process. However when I get to the highest cog and shift down, it catches a bit. Shifting up from the 2nd highest gear seems clunky but not as bad.

  2. Your cage is very stretched out.

Please tell us the size of your cassette, the size of your chain rings and the model number off the back of your RD.

can we get a straight shot of the drivetrain from the side, in the big cog and big ring? hard to tell from that angle, but the chain might be too short.

What happens when you click down one at a time and keep pedaling? The chain “might” be too short but hard to tell from the angle.

I see after you changed down one click you then clicked down several times, whilst not pedaling – WHY?

Gears only change properly when you pedal at the same time, don’t stop, don’t pedal back wards mid change etc.
