Bought it for $50 from the estate sale of a family friend. Shimano m700 deer head front derailer, rear derailer, shifters, and hubs. Sugino at cranks, Magura motocross brake levers, shimano 600 ex headset, and a suntour perfect freewheel, ukai 26×1.75 rims, and Rene herse rat trap pass tires. The serial number indicates itโs a 1985.

A piece of history
wonderful pick up โ very neat parts in good shape too!
Score of the century right there! Nice! The quintessential East Coast mountain bike. Those upright Bullmoose bars are great for cruising as are the RH tires. ๐๐
most reliable shifting it’s a joke that they make these plasticky trigger shifters that don’t last 30+ years ๐
Also if you got big thumbs like I do, thumbshifters are the only way to go. Nice score
I bought my frankenbike for ยฃ50 also, bargain hi-5!
If the seller found out what they had, theyโd regret for life
The best shifter feel that I ever got was from friction deer head shifters. Back then it was only 6 speeds so misshifting was manageable
Nice find
THAT IS SO RAD!!!!!!! Wow!
