No more than a plantage. Real forests are so rare these days its sad.
That’s a tree farm. Forests aren’t a single species of tree of a uniform age/size/spacing.
Lumber is just agriculture with a 30+ year time to harvest.
I love trees, but every time someone sees a cut block and gets agro/environmental it’s clear they don’t understand the ecology.
If it’s all closed canopy timber, what are the deer supposed to eat? What cover do the elk have to raise their babies? How are forbs supposed to grow?

Sad to see such negative comments in this thread.
Notice that all the trees are the same height, same species, same diameter. That wasn’t a forest but a field. Reducing usage and waste is good but we desperately need better practices on another level as well.
