if the headset is as tight as it can get and it still slips on either the stem or the handlebar, you can add a shim. You can find them on Amazon or any decent bike shop/website. In the old days, we would just make our own out of an old beer can (you just cut the top and bottom off and then make a rectangle for the size you need). Sometimes it’s not really about the sizing; it’s about grip and even the smallest of shims can give you the grip you need.

You might need a small shim between the stem and the steer tube if you can’t tighten it anymore. Something like a .5mm shim. Something the thickness of a soda can… Or possibly, cut, up, a, soda, can. Stop listening to me. That’s a bad idea. You’ll cut your hand open.

Loosen it, turn a bit, tighten and check. Repeat until satisfied.
