Ok I would like to swap my current apex 11s to a12s with a wide cage so I was looking at what's was needed (I found the ratio kit) but a mechanic advised me to swap to something more reliable.
From my understanding a new cassette a 12s brifter and a rear derailleur, some cable on top and I'm good to go!
Is that right ?

I don’t think switching from 11 to 12 speed is a very valuable upgrade, unless you really want extended cassette range. In that case you can get a much cheaper cassette, for example the Sram GX Eagle 10-50 (https://www.bike-discount.de/en/sram-gx-eagle-xg-1275-12-speed-cassette-10-50t).
With a 12sp Sram mtb cassette (from GX to XX1), you need a XD driver. In case your rear wheel has an HG freehub body, you need to add that. The two 12s cassettes from Sram compatible with HG are the cheap SX and NX.
Getting a relatively cheap NX derailleur with the high-end cassette, while technically compatible, is strange.
Also, You can get sometimes cheaper prices checking on bike-discount, bike-components, r2 or different places. I’ll not talk about RCZ (where I recently bought that exact same cassette for 129€…) since their way of selling might not suit your needs.
