hit it with a piece of wood or a rubber mallet to push it though. I think it’s just a little dent on the end cause by dropping the wheel on the ground, hitting the axle.

is this a brand new bike? Asking because I build bikes at Target and bikes with a qr ship with a plastic cap on the front wheels qr hub and sometimes the plastic piece gets broken off inside of the hub. I usually just use the skewer and put it in as much as possible then hit it with a rubber mallet and that will push the piece of plastic out.

Push it in and wiggle the wheel at the same time
