This video takes a look at the history of the Mannheim tractor factory in Germany. From its beginnings in the 1920’s with the Lanz Bulldog, up to today’s modern marvels from John Deere.
You've must have enjoyed making this video especially for us Massey people..😳😁 very well put together👍, here's a good challenge, could you do Coventry Climax (forklifts) and Steelfab, whitlock/Hymac diggers ?🙂👍
Excellent video! I'm aware of all the controversy surrounding farming in Europe but what I'm wondering is there any controversy over right to repair john deere tractors in Europe or is it a nonissue? It is a big issue in the USA.
Great videos Alan. You nit wrong about the prices of machinery, even second hand stuff has got out of control. That’s some achievement by JD In fairness.
Another great video👍. Lanz were a popular enough tractor in Ireland for a time. There were agents for them in Kingscourt. They did sell a handful of John deere Lanzs in the late 50s before closing shop. I've a friends in Carlow who used to be lanz agents, they've a lanz 2206 in a knockdown crate, never assembled.
SDF deal with MF is result of the fallout with TAFE, who ysed to supply MF with 2600 and 3600H series tractors. Mrs Srinvasan is a director and biggest shareholder of AGCO and is not happy with the way it is being run. She would like to but MF from AGCO.
Thanks for this great video. I'm sure most of the SDF tractors to be sold as Massey Fergusons will be made in India. The SDF diesel engines are made in India. Currently, the MF 2604H thru 2607H (40-70 HP ) tractors are made in India by Tafe.
Here is a portion of an article about SDF expansion in Turkey: ———————————— “With the inauguration of the new factory dedicated to FARMotion engines,” said Lodovico Bussolati, Ceo of the SDF Group, “SDF adds in Turkey the production of 3, 4 and 6 cylinder engines, which undoubtedly represent one of the main and fundamental core components for the production of tractors, destined not only for the local market but also for the foreign and especially the European market, which is very demanding in terms of performance and efficiency”. ——————————— So Turkey is likely to be the source of most approximately 100 HP tractors. Nice to see they are finally going to make a 6 cylinder FARMotion engine..
