Hi everyone,
I’m looking to purchase a Dura-Ace 9070 Di2 groupset, but I noticed in the pictures that the front derailleur has a clamp. The frame I plan to use it with requires a braze-on front derailleur.
For those familiar with Shimano Di2:
• Does the FD-9070 come in separate clamp-on and braze-on versions?
• Or is it originally a braze-on derailleur that can be used with a clamp adapter if needed?
Just want to confirm before making the purchase. Appreciate your insights—thanks!

It’s a braze on FD with a detachable clamp.
No, the 9070 only comes as braze-on. In the picture, a clamp is added to the front mech.
They only come as braze on.
Somebody bolted that one to an adapter.
I don’t think there has been true DA clamp on FDs for several generations.
As far as I’m aware, that FD only came in braze on with band clamp adapters sold separately. However, you could always just ask the seller if it’s braze on.
Okay. Thanks guys 🙏
Looks like a venzo clamp. Pretty common and pretty safe to use
