  1. I don’t see anything wrong here. You would just get a wider contact surface = more grip and smoother ride

Some manufacturers are ok with 28mm tires on 25mm internal, the ETRTO is not and requires a 29mm tire at a minimum.

Given that it’s safety critical, I personally would lean more towards a 30mm tire at least but it’s up to you for who you want to trust.

  3. I wouldn’t personally. Is it just because it’s all you have right now and would rather not buy new tyres yet?

The best thing you can do is get some road wheels and put 45s on them to balance things out.

  5. Considering this my self i have some 25mm internal dt swiss rims and some gp5000 28mm tyres looks good, i understand the risks associated but there is some manufacturers that are ok with 28mm tyre on an internal 25mm rim? the other thing that i heard someone mention which was a valid point is if you puncture there is literally no tyre to protect the rim from scraping the ground? out of interest how wide does the tyre measure now?

  6. Biggest issue is you got little kids. Good luck with getting that century in on 5 hours sleep.
