This is said to be the KHS Flite 500 from 2017, but upon doing some digging I can’t find this model. I’m not sure whether the seller was being intentionally dishonest with me. We agreed on $300 and I am planning to meet him TODAY for a test ride.

The bike is said to be my size and seems adequate for a beginner road bike, but I don’t know very much about bike models.

Any help would be appreciated!

Wells it is KHS. Idk if it is Carbon or aluminum and what components but this bike is worth around $150-250.

  2. Not a great picture but 300 for a 2017 road bike doesn’t seem too bad. Would be nice to know the groupset and how worn everything is.

    After some searching, It’s a 2016 KHS Flite 500 [2016_khs_dealer_catalog_archive.pdf](https://khsbicycles.com/archive/2016_khs_dealer_catalog_archive.pdf)

I doubt the seller is being dishonest. More than likely they bought it in 2017 thinking they were buying a 2017 model. But it’s definite 2016.

If you look at the catalog the paint and the crankset match. The paint is the biggest indicator but the cranks give it away as from 2018 on, KHS used FSA Cranksets, to keep cost down. The 2017 KHS Flite 500 had Shimano 105 groupset. For 2017, KHS didn’t have a 500, it went from the Performance model Flite 600 with Shimano Sora to the Sport model Flite 450 with Tiagra. But the decals are different and the crankset is FSA. [khsbicycles.com/archive/2017_khs_dealer_catalog_archive.pdf](https://khsbicycles.com/archive/2017_khs_dealer_catalog_archive.pdf)

$300 is a fair price if it’s in good condition. It does have Shimano 105.
