Im planning on building a new rimset for my bike.
Does anyone have any info/ideas with HPlus Son – Archetype rims?
I plan on using them for this wheel build. Using novatec hubs. Will be running this with discbrakes also, about 160mm rotors.
Has anyone have any experience with using this type of rims for gravel cycling with disc brakes?
-The archtype rims will be coming from one my unused fixed gear bikes. Rim is at excellent condition atm.

They’re basic rim brake rims. Fairly popular like a decade ago. It’s your call if you don’t mind the look of the rim brake track if you are doing a disc brake build.
Get The Hydra rim instead.. disc rim and tubeless ready
Why get a non tubeless rim? Also 9 times out of ten you are better off buying pre built wheels
Rim width really should be considered with tires size. If you are planning to run 38-40mm fine, but larger than that I’t look at 25, 27mm wide rims. And tubeless ready. And you know, actually disc brake rims…
That’s a really narrow internal rim diameter for gravel riding. Unless you’re planning to use road width (<32mm) tires this rim will not give an optimal tire profile.
