Bought some Salsa Anything cages a few years back and have been meaning to add rivnuts to the front fork ever since. Put off the work this whole time, but took a shot at it tonight.
Pretty happy with how it turned out, although drilling into the fork made me nervous.
Ready for the next adventure!
Good walk through for the process here: https://bikepacking.com/gear/rivnut-bottle-cage-mounts/

I was thinking about doing this for my straggler. But im starting to think a pass n stow rack or a bassi hogs back fork would be cheaper than the dentistry.

Looks great! I prefer to keep my tent on the fork leg, and other dry gear on the other leg…water adds a weird instability to my bike as it sloshes around.

OP, you drilled THREE holes into each side? Your bike is going to explode!
Seriously though, this is cool. Do report on this. I’m contemplating doing this myself though need just 1 rivnut per side.
