I find it harder to go and commit the time to learning when I find myself either embarrassed or just fail to try new things overall when I’m in front of others at the parks.
How did some of y’all get over that fear of publicly progressing tricks

No one cares, just have fun with it.
For me it was being young and not caring what anyone thought.
In my experience (40 been riding since 14), what makes it easier is just talk to everyone at the park and become friends. Cheer for everyone when they land something they’ve been working on. They’ll do it for you too and that will just make you more stoked.
Time on bike. As you get more comfortable on your bike trying new things becomes easier and also not really worrying about what other people might think. If they are utilizing the skate park too they didn’t start out as pros or anything. We all kinda sucked at it at first. Further more if the community is supportive then those bystanders might offer you some helpful advice.
Enjoy it. Laugh at yourself when you don’t land something or ditch your bike, then go again. Try dumb stuff for fun. No one’s getting to nitro circus, most everyone local in BMX is just happy to chill and ride bikes, it’s never a contest.
The bmx community is full of people who will gladly help you. Just ride and ask questions to better riders and I bet they will help you and celebrate with you when you elevate yourself. Gotta ride to learn, also watch the better buys and pay attention to their body position on the bike during tricks and so you best to mirror that.
Getting old and not caring, I started back when I was 25. I was like fuck it I am getting old and I do not care what others think, a decade on I am enjoying my time on my BMX.
When you eat concrete the laughs you hear will be followed by worry and care. Failure is only a word. It’s a pretty loving community here for the most part and we all enjoy watching you grow just as much as everyone else.
A lot of early weekday mornings and indoor parks in the summer time!!
Super easy if you’re a flatlander. You’re always alone
Just know everyone’s there to try stuff. It doesn’t matter! I’d rather hang with someone who’s a cool person and help them get along than an asshole who can ride at a high level any day. We’re all just people. Get out there and ride man! The skatepark is there for you as much as it is anyone else. Get out there and shred and if anyone has a problem or makes fun, they can fuck off. Hang with the real ones. You’ll notice the best riders in the park who are older, are normally the first people to say what’s up and help anyone out, because they appreciate anyone simply going out and riding. Don’t let the worry get built up in your head
It’s empty. What’s the problem?
Just kidding. Everybody was a beginner once. We all gotta start somewhere and we’ve all gotta fail over and over to progress sometimes. I respect a new rider trying the same easy trick 100’s of times in a row until they figure it out. They’re the ones that’ll be good someday. Who cares what people think anyway?.
If you can’t get over it, ride in a clown suit or a banana costume or something. That’ll fix you right up.
I’m where your at rn tbh I struggle with the embarrassment of failing but let’s be real. Noone will care unless their an asshole! Most of them will just think, oh he failed that, oh well he’ll get their eventually! Really just imagine they aren’t there most people won’t think down upon you.
