Finished rebuilding my cassette but noticed these things at the ends of the hub are loose.

The things with the two wrench flats on them. If it wasn't a sealed bearing hub I would have said they were bearing cones? All I know about it is that it is a 142mm sealed bearing through-axle hub.

If I unscrew the silver one I can see the through axle tube unthreading from the black one and the whole cassette becomes mobile axially on the hub.

I just need to know what they are and how tight I should tighten these as I really need this bike working to ride to work tomorrow!

cone wrenches is what you need. they are very thin wrenches. they cost like $10 or less. measure the flats on these so you know what size you need, there are tons of sizes. 15, 17, 21 are the most popular but there are other sizes.

they have to be tight enough that there is no side to side play, but not tight enough there is resistance/binding when rotating the wheel. it’s a challenge sometimes to get it right.
