  1. It may even be a Dakar XLT (for Xtra Long Travel, around 5 inches). I have one I rode from 2005-2012. It was a great bike. I still have the frame that I custom painted hanging in my shop.

  2. Like others have said, it’s a Jamis Dakar from around 2005. It’s not a bad ride and $200 seems a fair(ish) price. If the seller doesn’t even list the make and model, they might be easily convinced to go down in price.

    The upgraded stem, bars, and pedals are about all I would recommend doing with a bike this old so it probably just needs some oil on the chain, a thorough bolt check, and you’re good to go for some basic trails.

  3. It’s an older Dakar as many have said. Only issue with these was they all blew through the tiny RC car bearings that were used in the linkage if you did any remotely hard riding on them.
