Was just servicing my bearings when I noticed this possible crack on the carbon steerer for my Orange gravel bike. I can feel an indentation when I run my fingernail across it.
Is that the fork done then? I’ve heard if it’s just a surface crack it could be okay but difficult to tell. Would really like some insight here

yeah that’s fucked. get it evaluated for warranty if applicable, or replace.

Is that crack halfway between the upper and lower bearings? If so, that’s a weird ass place for steerer tube crack. That area sees zero direct impact with anything as well as zero rubbing/abrasion with other parts/components.
I wouldn’t ride that until I got a professional to look at it.
